We have our own piano repairers and polishers, and will carry out any work as requested prices are arranged at the time of purchase. Often it is not too severe, but in order to keep our prices as competitive as they are we allow ourselves to be guided by the client. Where there may be casework damage, we, as a rule, leave the repair work to the potential customer's discretion. These pianos receive at least two in-house tunings in order that we can assess their stability, and once we are satisfied that they are structurally sound they are made available for sale.

Each upright piano goes through the full regulation and set up process in exactly the same way as new pianos, and where necessary parts are replaced or renewed.

When I was searching for a nice pre-owned grand, I came across a late 80s model DH Baldwin G-170 Grand made by Samick that I thought was a nice piano. Mason & Hamlin builds only 250 pianos per yearĬharles Walter is a relative newcomer which builds only about 65 pianos each year. 02 regarding your question, yes, Samick pianos and their stencils are good pianos as a general rule (IMHO).

The United States only has 3 manufacturers left although there used to be hundreds of piano companies building in America. Since piano production began in Germany and the United States, these represent the very best piano brands. The country of origin is often the best indicator of the quality of pianos.
